Dual Enrollment

Dual Enrollment registration begins on August 1, 2011 at the PHCC Dade City Campus. Mrs. Moore will be there to assist from 8 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Registration will continue until August 22 but courses will become less available the longer students wait. Students must register at PHCC for all ZHS Dual Enrollment courses as well!

 

What is Dual Enrollment?         

In Dual Enrollment, students enroll in approved college credit course working through Pasco-Hernando Community College and receive college and high school credit while still in high school. These courses provide options for students ready for additional rigorous learning opportunities. Students can attend classes at the PHCC campus as part of their regular high school schedule.

Who Can Participate?

High school students can participate in the program after meeting all of the Dual Enrollment qualifactions.Students must have an unweighted GPA of 3.0 and meet test score requirements. Students MUST provide their own transportation.

How Do I Register?

Students can register and complete an application and have their parents and school counselor's approval. Students must have a 3.0 unweighted GPA to take academic classes. Students must have an acceptable standardized test score from the FCELPT, SAT or ACT. See your guidance counselor.

Directions: East on SR 54 past I-75 & Saddlebrook. Turn north on Curley Rd / CR-577, (street light). Go approximately 1 mile to Wells Road. Turn left (west). School will be on the right - passing Thomas E. Weightman Middle School. The Media Center is in Building 600 (follow signs to Media Center).
