CLUB DAY PROCEDURES
MEETINGS: Clubs will meet ONCE a month, except for those meeting on both days. Students are allowed to participate in either (Club A and/or B) or one club that meets both A and B. This will be indicated on the club cards and (see attached list of clubs).
DISPLACED STUDENTS: Teachers will provide a copy of roster (with photos) for students who will report to the neighboring classes for study hall. ATTENDANCE MUST BE TAKEN IN STUDY HALL and returned to the 2nd period teacher, who assigns consequences, if needed (for skipping).
CLUB CARDS: Temporary club cards (white) will be distributed before the first club meeting to 2nd period teachers. Permanent cards (colored) will be distributed at the second club meeting.
TEACHERS WITH NO CLUBS: Teachers with a 2nd period class and no club, will have their 2nd period class as a study hall, and are asked to help neighboring teachers with displaced students.
TEACHERS WITH 2ND PERIOD PLANNING: Will have the students who are displaced from club sponsors’ classes. Club sponsors will contact you for your support. Our goal is to have as less student-movement as possible.
**CARDS will be distributed to ALL students who have signed up. If they have lost their card, they will need to see the club sponsor BEFORE the club meeting.
NO ONE LEAVES YOUR 2ND PERIOD WITHOUT A PASS AND PLEASE LIMIT PASSES DURING STUDY HALL/CLUB.
CONSEQUENCES FOR SKIPPING, will be assigned by the 2nd period teacher, if necessary.
Remember, colleges look for students to be diverse in their academic and extracurricular background. They also look for commitment and leadership, and these skills can be nurtured through our clubs.
